Over a revitalizing cup of herbal tea, learn about the healing properties of various spices and techniques! Continue to Kandy and explore the exquisite Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, constructed by the British who also brought a variety of plants and flowers, creating the wonderful fields of orchids and fragrant spices you see today. King George and Queen Mary even planted a tree in 1901! Check-in at your chosen hotel that evening and get ready for an exciting new trip. On a chosen board basis, spend the night in Kandy.
- DAY 05 – Kandy
- Kandy is well known for its stunning lakeside setting, which is surrounded by impressive hills. However, the Temple of the Holy Tooth Relic is the city’s most appealing monument. Additional noteworthy buildings include the sanctuary, the Golden Canopy, the New Palace, the Royal Palace, the old courtroom, the Queen’s Bathing House, and the New Palace. Enjoy the tranquility of the ambiance while reflecting in silence on the majestic architecture. A spectacular cultural performance featuring 12 folk and traditional dances, ceremonial drumming, and a drum will round off the day. You’ll be on the edge of your seat for a sizzling fire-walking performance as well. On the chosen board option, spend the night in Kandy.

A genuine Ceylon tea sampling at the factory will bring this experience to a close. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya, the gorgeous lakeside town renowned as the ‘tea capital’ and as ‘Little England’. The British introduced Sri Lanka to the manufacturing of tea here. Take in Victoria Park, the racetrack, the 18-hole golf course that is regarded as one of the greatest in South Asia, the neat houses with rose lawns, and more.
