DAY 2 Sigiriya Hotel Breakfast * Dambulla Cave Temple

You’ll be taken to Kandy early this morning (Tourist time approx: 03 hours) * See the 147-acre Peradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens (excursion lasts about 2 hours). It was established in 1374 as a theme park for the Gampola and Kandy kings. There are almost 4,000 different kinds of trees, plants, and animals. Gardens contain a number of rare, indigenous, and tropical plants. Tourists frequently visit the Spice Garden and Orchid House. There are five palm paths that add beauty to the gardens; the oldest and tallest Palm Avenue (Royal Palm Avenue) was established in 1905. View Fort, the 1749-old Dutch Wolfendale Church, the Bazar district, the stone carvings of a Hindu temple, and Goldsmith’s official mansion in the center of Sea Street-Pita are all nearby. View Fort was also a previous British administrative center and military fortress. See the Aukana Buddha statue and Independence Square when you visit the BMICH.
